The Team

Larry D. Fairley
Larry FairleyLarry D. Fairley, president of Marketing Resource Solutions, LLC, has over 25 years of experience in the direct marketing, printing and advertising industries. During his extensive career, Larry worked for some of the nation’s largest direct marketing and printing firms before founding MRS. Additionally, he has worked in various capacities including sales, sales management, manufacturing management, and operations management.

The majority of Larry’s career has been spent in the direct marketing industry, particularly direct mail printing and personalization. He spent most of his career with one of the nation’s largest direct response printing firms. During his corporate career, Larry designed and acted as project manager for the Converting Operations Through-put Team—the most successful process improvement effort in the history of the company. Larry is well-versed in the areas of continuous process improvement, Total Quality Management, and process reengineering and has employed a combination of the three to advance MRS organizational performance.

Larry earned a MBA in Business Administration from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA, a BSBA in Advertising Management from Thomas Edison State College, Trenton, NJ, and an AAS degree in Printing Technologies from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC. He also attended Wake Forest University’s Babcock School of Management in Winston Salem, NC.

Giving back to the community is a priority for Larry. Currently, he is an active board member for Carolina’s Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC), McKendree Village Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity, serving as a Director.

About Deirdre O’Boyle (President)
With 28 years of experience in marketing management, including 18 years dedicated to customer relationship management strategy and execution, Deirdre O’Boyle assists organizations in using marketing as a strategic competitive weapon.

O’Boyle’s broad experience spans creating marketing departments for Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company and Howard, Merrell & Partners Brand Development Agency. She has developed targeted marketing campaigns for start-up companies, Fortune 500 manufacturing and technology companies. O’Boyle’s integrated marketing strategies have built more effective branding programs for clients such as: SAS Institute, Kimberly-Clark, Mac Gregor Golf, and Hanger’s Cleaners. In more recent years O’Boyle has used her experience to equip non-profit organizations with strategic brand marketing to achieve national awareness, develop new products and increase revenue/funding by executing targeted marketing campaigns. A few non-profit organizations include: Youth Communication, Youth Radio, ShadeTree for Girls, University of North Carolina, The Campaign for Youth Justice and Latin American Youth Center.

O’Boyle’s newest venture is developing branding campaigns and new product development for sustainable farming. The strategic marketing efforts include: a new business plan, a two year marketing strategy, research for new product development, development of an educational curriculum and event planning.

She is a member of the American Marketing Association, NC Center for Nonprofits, NAFE, Direct Marketing Association, and a Past-President of the NC Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association. O’Boyle has led direct marketing seminars for Duke University Medical Center, United Methodist Communications Group and several advertising agencies. Recently O’Boyle completed the Professional Certification Program for Email Marketing.

Ian Black
Ian Black, Creative Director, is a graduate of Auburn University with a BFA in visual communications. Ian has over 10 years of experience in the field of creative design. He started his career as an art director in the music industry, creating music and video packaging for a number of music companies including: Sony Music, RCA, Mercury Records, Provident, Zomba, EMI, Green Hill Music, and INO Records. In 1997, Ian joined a small design agency where he worked on accounts such as Loews Hotels and Blackstone Brewery. In 1999 he started his own company, Black’s Design Studio, where he continued his work in the music and advertising industries. In 2000, Ian joined Alcott Routon to become Senior Art Director. His accounts included KinderCare Learning Centers, National Federation of Independent Business and Altair Data Resources. In 2003, Ian joined Marketing Resource Solutions as creative director.

Ellen Bush
Ellen Bush is the Director of Production for Marketing Resource Solutions. Prior to joining the organization, she was Vice President, Production Group Head at Brann Wilton. Prior to Brann Wilton, she was at FCB Direct. With almost 30 years of direct marketing production experience, she has managed production in a variety of businesses and direct marketing agencies including American International Group, Myron Manufacturing, CBS Magazines, Nash Direct and Ammirati and Puris. She has an extensive background in producing financial, business-to-business, catalogs, magazine insert programs, and publishing and consumer programs. Ellen enjoys the challenges of difficult production solutions.

Ellen has a BA degree in Urban Studies. In addition, she has taken numerous industry-related classes including NYU School of Continuing Education - Print and Reproduction Processes and Materials, Center for Direct Marketing - How to Buy Printing and Lettershop Services, the Advertising Club of New York - Advertising and Marketing Course and the Direct Marketing Association - Copy & Art; Catalogue Institute.

Ellen has also served on the faculty of the Association of the Graphic Arts teaching Direct Mail Production and served as a volunteer instructor of the Direct Marketing Training Program sponsored by NOW.

Audrey White
Audrey R. White, Regional Manager, Marketing Resource Solutions has over 12 years of experience in the advertising, marketing and event management industries. With the emphasis of her background in advertising and marketing, Audrey has an in-depth knowledge of agency management, media placement, client development and event management. Audrey’s broad experience covers account management for the largest HMO in the state of Tennessee. Servicing this account included media placement, project management, client representation, event management.

Chris Jenkins
Chris Jenkins oversees the new Interactive Media Services division of Marketing Resource Solutions. With 10 years of experience in the interactive space, Chris is a multi-talented designer, developer, and trainer with complementing backgrounds in audio, video, print, CD/DVD creation, and more. After obtaining a B.A. in Music Education, Chris entered the interactive field as an Internet Manager for a Hendrick Automotive Group dealership. Following this, he acquired a position with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he designed and developed innovative online courses and interactive media for high school and college audiences. Chris, then moved on to the UNC-G grant project CENTe-R as the web designer, developer, and multimedia specialist. After leaving UNC-G, Chris went to work for the Greensboro News & Record's interactive department as a web developer. There, he built their Flash-based online multimedia players, worked on CMS-driven websites, and more.

Additionally, Chris acquired professional IT certifications including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster). As a result of this training and existing web experience, Chris became a trainer and taught an array of sessions from three-week certification tracks to on-site classes for corporate clients.

In 2001, Chris began Seven Multimedia through which he completed works for clients spanning from North Carolina to Georgia -- including federally funded grant projects and a plethora of industries including automotive, education, entertainment, real estate, and more. Chris Jenkins is proud to be a member of the Marketing Resource Solutions team and the Interactive Media Services division.
